What is mental performance consulting?

Mental performance consulting in sport and exercise settings is intended to empower athletes, coaches, and fitness enthusiasts to develop mental skills that enhance performance, increase sport or exercise enjoyment, enhance confidence, and improve quality of life or manage pain/injury.

 

What are mental skills?

Everyone has some degree of mental skill that you've probably used without realizing it. They are things like relaxation, focus (attention, concentration), imagery/visualization, self-talk, and goal setting. Practicing mental skills helps you get better at using them just like how exercising regularly helps you become more efficient at different movements. Research supports the use of various mental skills in sport and exercise to enhance athletic performance.


What Are the benefits of purchasing an exercise program?

Exercise programs are developed based on your individual goals, level of training status, health history, and preferences or physical constraints. Exercise programs may include resistance training, plyometrics, calisthenics, and mobility work all for sport performance, general fitness, or other health-related goals.


Does it matter which sport I play?

No! Any athlete from any sport can benefit from mental skills training,
